General Information

What is the Harley Owners Group®?
The Harley Owners Group® is a family-oriented, manufacturer-sponsored, group of motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion of the safe enjoyment of this rapidly growing sport. Many Harley-Davidson® dealers throughout the world sponsor local chapters of this international organization.
Each chapter operates somewhat autonomously with local rides, activities, social functions and charitable fund raising activities throughout the year.
The Superstition Harley-Davidson® Chapter is sponsored by Superstition Harley-Davidson® and is one of the most active chapters in the Apache Junction area.
Membership in the Superstition Harley-Davidson® Chapter is open to any registered owner of a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle who holds current membership in the International Harley Owners Group®. Associate memberships are available for family and friends.
-
Who Are the Members?
Harley Owners Group® members are an eclectic group of enthusiasts from virtually every walk of life including:
Professionals, business executives, publishers/editors, business owners, commercial pilots, helicopter pilots, electricians, plumbers, heavy equipment operators, long-haul truck drivers, carpenters, bankers, union agents, firefighters, police, school principals, building inspectors, teachers, counselors, retirees, machinists, farmers, restaurateurs, motorcycle training instructors, painters, medical assistants, ambulance attendants, travel agents, and students.
-
What Do They Do?
Ride their Harley-Davidson® motorcycles as frequently as possible, enjoy many social activities held primarily to raise money for charity including bake sales, bowling nights, rallies, poker runs, billiards nights, pizza and photo nights, Christmas and Valentine's dances. Hold monthly meetings to share experiences with senior riders, learn safe riding techniques, learn technical information regarding Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, meet new friends with a common interest, and become part of a global network of enthusiasts.
-
Where Do They Meet?
Monthly meetings are held at the Superstition Harley-Davidson® dealership at 2910 W. Apache Trail in Apache Junction, Arizona. Most scheduled rides also depart from the dealership. For noteworthy rides or activities, call the Superstition Harley-Davidson® Chapter H.O.G.® Hotline at (480) 346-0600 for the latest updates or check in at the dealership at the Information desk.
-
When Do They Meet?
The general meeting is the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 am in the H.O.G.® room located on the second floor of the dealership. The Road Captains' meeting is immediately following the general meeting. People interested in becoming Road Captains are welcome to attend a meeting to get information on the process. The general meeting is followed by the Ladies of Harley® and new members meetings. Hogs & Dogs Days begin at 11:00 a.m. and continues until 2:00 pm. Superstition Harley-Davidson® provides free hot dogs and sodas.
-
Why Do They Ride?
Contrary to the adage that "if you have to ask, you wouldn't understand" it is probably better to say "if you haven't experienced the freedom, exhilaration and the pure joy of being at one with a motorcycle on an open road, you have denied yourself one of life's greatest pleasures." It's a lot of fun.
